BioAI is an early-stage company that has developed the unique AI-powered PredictX platform that analyzes digital tumor tissue slides to predict genetic biomarkers. It uses the footprint that specific genetic mutations leave in the tissue architecture and morphology.
Unlike standard molecular testing this is
- Fast, hours instead of weeks: very helpful for patients with progressive cancer
- Much cheaper
- and can analyze an entire panel of different biomarker profiles from a single tissue slide: very useful in many cases when only a small volume of tumor tissue is available from a patient.
Our current customers are pharmaceutical companies that need effective tests to identify cancer patients eligible for their precision therapies.

As we begin to develop our own product portfolio and support pharma companies with the development of customized IVDs, we are excited to bring on an Head of Diagnostic Products to develop a product roadmap and guide our product development team!
We are looking for an experienced and creative product owner with a passion for AI and molecular diagnostics to lead our product team.
As the Head of Diagnostic Products, you will
- Collaborate with partners, customers and internal stakeholders to develop a go-to-market strategy, the test environment and the intended use of the tests
- Tightly work together with the product development team to ensure the performance and scalability of our products and related services.
- Develop the business case for a product
- Ensure compliance of the development process with the regulatory and quality standards in the IVD environment.
- Drive BioAI’s product roadmap and the opinion building process around it.
The cross-functional role requires someone who can deep dive into ´the science and user needs, understands business drivers and contributes to the design of our tests and related services.
Responsibilities

- Deeply understand and anticipate user and partners needs related to the use of AI tests in a specific test environment.
- Help guide key product decisions that enable an efficient and scalable business case of the product incl. pricing and pricing model.
- Provide clarity on use cases and priorities to technical teams in order to efficiently guide iterative development
- Work closely with customers and partners to map the test design to the go-to-market strategy.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to translate roadmap items into concrete development initiatives.
- Continuously gather feedback from internal users, customers, partners and subject matter experts to create clear requirements
- Manage the budget, resources and timelines.
- Frequently report to the executive team on progress and plans.
- Track product adoption and performance through analytics
Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. preferably in engineering, computer science, bioinformatics, molecular biology, or equivalent degree
- 5+ years of product management experience
- Proven track record of executing and launching of successful AI & ML based products
- Self-motivated to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project deadlines with limited supervision
- Substantial experience with the regulatory and quality requirements for medical device development, including documentation and procedures.
- Ability to translate between engineers, data scientists, oncologists, clinical lab partners and commercial team members to balance user needs, team efforts and business goals.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, detail-oriented and receptive to feedback
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with molecular testing and the clinical laboratory industry
- Solid knowledge of AI & ML methodologies and trends
- Technical experience to weigh tradeoffs and to have in-depth discussions with data scientists and engineers about the nuances of AI models.
- Familiarity with diagnostic test risk assessment
- Familiarity with software development standards and agile project methodologies
- Experience in startups, small companies, or other fast-paced, ever-changing environments is a strong plus.
- Experience understanding clinical development and value drivers in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong track record in project management
